Established in 1976 and formerly known as The Seattle Gift Center, Pacific Market Center is the industry destination for buyers in the United States, Canada and beyond. Located in Seattle, a leading economic and financial center and global port of entry, the mart features thousands of product lines for a wide selection of merchandise set in a sophisticated, boutique buying and selling environment. A complement to the larger marts located throughout the United States, Pacific Market Center offers 100 permanent showrooms on five floors featuring thousands of product lines for a wide selection of merchandise to help buyers keep up with every trend affecting their customers.

Pacific Market Center draws thousands of buyers from more than 30 channels of distribution including high-end department stores, corporate, specialty retailers, home furnishings, kitchenware, events, gourmet food, hospitality, garden/outdoor living, salons & spas, wineries, Internet, and regional chain outlets. Pacific Market Center’s showrooms feature more than 4,000 national and international product lines in 65 distinct categories. Product categories include home furnishings, outdoor living/garden, kitchenware, lifestyle, lighting, gourmet foods, accessories, linens/textiles pet, house wares, jewelry, handmade, tabletop, seasonal, home décor, juvenile, inspirational, and gift.

Pacific Market Center’s convenient Pacific Coast location enables buyers to establish valuable ongoing relationships with showrooms on a year-round basis in a vibrant and efficient environment.

Pacific Market Center continues to grow its premier collection with the recent addition of five new showrooms as well as the expansion of a number of existing showrooms.

MANAGEMENT

Pacific Market Center is owned and managed by The Benaroya Companies. Founded in 1956, The Benaroya Company is a full-service commercial real estate company, active in acquiring, developing, and managing superior office, high-tech, and warehouse properties in prime locations throughout the Puget Sound region.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Open to the trade only, Pacific Market Center’s showrooms are open every Monday and Tuesday for Market Days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. year-round and also by appointment. Approximately 30 percent of the showrooms are also open Wednesday through Friday.

MARKETS & EVENTS

To coincide with industry buying trends, Pacific Market Center offers special buying events, workshops and several major markets throughout the year. The markets include the Gift & Home Accessories Show held twice yearly in January and August, as well as a spring show.

In 2006, Pacific Market Center and the Seattle Gift Show (produced by Western Exhibitors and held at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center) collaborated for the first time to launch Seattle Market Week. Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels proclaimed the week of August 14 as the city’s first official Seattle Market Week. The partnership between the two shows gives visitors to Pacific Market Center’s August Gift & Home Accessories Show access to more than 10,000 product lines in two locations connected by free shuttle service.
